In June, the NC-SARA Board of Directors announced it would be accepting nominations from the public for new board directors to begin three-year terms in January 2026. During the October board meeting, the board unanimously elected the following colleagues to serve as new directors for their first three-year terms (2026-2028):

  • Tamara Baysinger: Program Manager, State Authorization, Idaho State Board of Education
  • Bettyjo Bouchey: Chief Professional and Continuing Education Officer, University of Vermont
  • Alexander Nally: Deputy General Counsel, Massachusetts Department of Higher Education
  • Dennis Olson: Commissioner, Minnesota Office of Higher Education
  • Austin Reid: Federal Affairs Advisor, National Conference of State Legislatures
  • Karol Schmidt: Dean, Institutional Effectiveness and Innovations, Rio Salado College (AZ)
  • Sean Seepersad: Division Director, Academic Affairs, Connecticut Office of Higher Education
  • Julie Woodruff: Senior Compliance Counsel, Tennessee Higher Education Commission
