In June, the NC-SARA Board announced it would be accepting nominations from the public for new board members to begin three-year terms in January 2025. During the October board meeting, the board unanimously elected the following colleagues to serve as new members for their first three-year term:

  • Dr. Coleen Arviso, Director of E-Learning, Navajo Technical University
  • Mr. Terrence Scarborough, Director of SARA North Carolina, North Carolina State Education Assistance Authority (UNC System Office); Regional Steering Committee Chair, Southern Regional Education Board
  • Mr. John Ware, Executive Director, Ohio State Board of Career Colleges and Schools
  • Ms. Joan Wodiska, President & Founder, Pioneer Management Consulting, LLC

The NC-SARA Board also unanimously elected the following colleagues to serve as continuing board members for a second three-year term:

  • Dr. Barbara Gellman-Danley, President, Higher Learning Commission
  • Dr. Eduardo Ochoa, President Emeritus, California State University Monterey Bay
  • Ms. Elise Scanlon, Principal, Elise Scanlon Law Group
  • Dr. Sarah Armstrong-Tucker, Chancellor, West Virginia Higher Education Policy Commission
