Dianne Harrison is president of California State University, Northridge. Previously, she served as president of California State University, Monterey Bay. She served for nearly 30 years at Florida State University, in various capacities including faculty member, dean of social work, associate vice president for academic affairs, dean of graduate studies, and vice president for academic quality and external programs. She serves on the boards of the American Council on Education (ACE) and American Association of State Colleges and Universities (AASCU), and is the board secretary on the Coalition of Urban Serving Universities (USU). Harrison received a B.A. in American Studies and an M.A. in social work from the University of Alabama, and a Ph.D. in social work from Washington University.
