Jared joined NC-SARA as the Director, Institutional Engagement & Initiatives in April 2024. His work focuses on engaging with institutions to further and strengthen their understanding of SARA and timely developments, serving as staff coordinator and NC-SARA Board liaison for the SARA Policy Modification Process, and guiding the continued development of technological tools to streamline the administrative aspects of participation for states and institutions. 

Prior to coming to NC-SARA Jared was the Director of SARA for the New England Board of Higher Education (NEBHE) and served on the organization’s team of Senior Directors. Jared also spent a decade in mainly public postsecondary institutions focused on academic affairs, program and college leadership, and admission and retention efforts, first as an academic advisor and later as an Assistant Dean. He also has taught and coordinated several undergraduate courses. 

Jared earned a BS degree in Human Development and an MS degree in College Student Personnel from the University of Rhode Island.
