Dr. Jason Warr joined NC-SARA in July 2026 and serves as Vice President of Finance and Operations. In this role, he oversees NC-SARA’s accounting and finance functions, budgeting processes, audits, and the State Territorial Grant Program.

Jason’s recent leadership positions include serving as Vice President of Finance and Compliance at Colorado State University Global and Chief Financial Officer at the Iliff School of Theology. Prior to joining NC-SARA, his work also involved supporting state authorization and regulatory compliance for higher education institutions.

He is passionate about finance operations, compliance, and higher education. In addition to his administrative roles, Jason teaches accounting and finance at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.

Jason earned a Doctor of Business Administration in Accounting from Argosy University, an MBA from Westminster University, and a BS in Accounting from the University of Utah. He is also a licensed Certified Public Accountant in the state of Colorado.

A veteran of the Army National Guard, Jason served both as a Noncommissioned Officer and as a Field Artillery Officer, retiring as a Major after 27 years of service. His military career included deployments during the Persian Gulf War and Operation Iraqi Freedom.
