Nick Ortiz joined NC-SARA in June 2019. In his role as a Digital Platforms & Event Technology Manager, he supervises and trains staff supporting website administration, Zoom Events, and digital platform support. He serves as a key liaison between IT, Communications, Engagement, Policy, Finance, external vendors, and end-users to ensure digital platforms support NC-SARA’s operational and strategic needs.  Nick supports technical operations and helps implement strategic technological initiatives with an overall goal of improving organizational effectiveness.

Prior to joining NC-SARA, Nick worked several years at higher education institutions supporting the implementation and maintenance of the Ellucian Banner cloud-based Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Student Information System (SIS) built specifically for higher education institutions. Nick holds a Bachelor of Science Business Administration, Information Technology Management from Western Governors University.
