NC-SARA is pleased to announce that Marianne Boeke will be joining us as Associate Director for Policy Research and State Support, effective mid-April.

Marianne is currently a Senior Associate at the National Center for Higher Education Management Systems (NCHEMS) here in Boulder, Colorado.  At NCHEMS for 14 years, Marianne has worked on a variety of projects involving the use of technology in education, competency based education, state authorization, and other issues. Previously, Marianne was a staff associate at WCET, managing the Technology Costing Methodology project and the Multimedia Educational Resource for Learning and Online Teaching (MERLOT) project.

Marianne has also held administrative positions at American University, the University of Denver, and Western Governors University. She earned a Ph.D. in Higher Education from the University of Denver; holds a master’s degree in student development from The American University; and a bachelor’s degree in Anthropology and Behavioral Science from San Jose State University.
