The Board of NC-SARA will have a vacancy due to the resignation of M. Peter McPherson, President of the Association of Public and Land-grant Universities, who has served on the Board since 2013 and was its founding Vice-Chair. We solicit nominations or applications to fill this vacancy.

According to its Bylaws, members of the NC-SARA Board, a diversified group of higher education leaders, are selected based on their knowledge of the field, ability to work across multiple perspectives, and commitment to the collaborative work and success of SARA and NC-SARA. Nominations or applications to fill this vacancy should address these criteria in order to inform the review of the nominating committee, which will make recommendations for consideration by the Board at its November 1, 2018 meeting. Board members elected after July1, 2018 serve a three-year term, with possible re-election to an additional three-year term.
