NC-SARA Responds to COVID-19 Concerns from Participating Institutions
Updated by on Thu, 03/26/2020 - 18:14
Some NC-SARA institutions have expressed concerns regarding NC-SARA’s federal financial composite score requirement for participation in the reciprocity agreement, in the wake of this unprecedented global COVID-19 pandemic.
Please know that we take these concerns from our participating institutions very seriously and do understand the severe financial strain that institutions are experiencing at this time.
As I expect everyone is, we are discussing the best ways to respond to the pandemic and we are coordinating with all of our NC-SARA community stakeholders including regional compacts, states, and institutions.
I am in discussions with our board leaders and legal counsel about the SARA financial stability requirement. After we engage in discussions with our state members, additional considerations will also be discussed by the full NC-SARA board in early May.
