Sarah Levy to Join NC-SARA Staff in February

Today, NC-SARA is excited to announce the addition of Sarah Levy to our team. Sarah has been hired as the Senior Director for Policy and Regulatory Affairs and will begin on February 16.
Since 2008, Sarah Levy has served as Executive Director of Postsecondary Licensing with the Kentucky Council on Postsecondary Education. In that role, she oversaw the state authorization of private institutions operating and soliciting in Kentucky and conducted policy research for the agency.
When Kentucky joined SARA in 2016, Sarah became a State Portal Entity contact and a member of the Southern Regional Education Board (SREB) SARA Regional Steering Committee. She has served as a member of the SREB SARA Policy and Administration Working Group since its formation in 2019 and became co-chair of that working group in October 2023. She has also been a member of the NC-SARA Data Advisory Committee since 2019.
Prior to joining the Kentucky Council on Postsecondary Education, Sarah was a law clerk for a Kentucky Circuit Court judge (2004-2007) and served as legal counsel for the Kentucky Administrative Office of the Courts from 2007 to 2008.
Sarah holds a B.A. in English and a Juris Doctor degree, both from the University of Kentucky.
