Julie M. Woodruff is Counsel at Thompson Coburn, LLP. Julie advises colleges, universities, vocational institutions, and other postsecondary providers on the complex regulatory landscape governing institutional operations, accreditation, and state and federal compliance. Previously, she served as Senior Compliance Counsel for the Tennessee Higher Education Commission, where she provided strategic legal guidance on federal and state policy matters involving institutional and programmatic accreditation, traditional and reciprocal state authorization, and federal student aid eligibility. Julie has worked in regulation for nearly twenty-five years; with most of that time spent in higher education. Julie has served as the Vice-Chair of the S-SARA Regional Steering Committee, Co-Chair of the 2024 SARA PMP Co-Chair, and Treasurer of the Board of Directors of the National Association of State Administrators and Supervisors of Private Schools. Julie is a graduate of Vanderbilt University and Nova Southeastern University Shepard Broad College of Law.
