On November 9, 2023, an announcement was sent to all SARA-participating institutions about a potential future increase to SARA participation fees. For additional information, NC-SARA has prepared and posted on its website a document that includes an overview of the current NC-SARA institutional participation fee structure, the proposed NC-SARA institutional participation fee structure, rationale for the proposed changes, and next steps for board action.

The proposed fee structure change would be the first fee increase since SARA’s inception in 2014. If approved by the NC-SARA Board at their February 2024 virtual meeting, the new fee structure would be effective July 1, 2024.
