The NC-SARA Board reviews and approves the annual SARA participation fee schedule every two years. During its October meeting, the Board discussed a proposal brought forward by the NC-SARA Finance Committee to revise the fee structure for SARA participation fees. The Board will vote on the proposal at its February 8, 2024, meeting.

The revised fee structure, if approved, would include small increases in institutional fees across all enrollment tiers and creates a new tier for the largest institutions served by SARA (those with an FTE enrollment at or greater than 30,000 students).

The proposed fee structure change would be the first fee increase since SARA’s inception in 2014. If approved by the Board at their February meeting, the new fee structure would be effective July 1, 2024.
