Starting in July 2021, Lori Williams, NC-SARA’s President and CEO, will serve a three year term as a member of the Board of Directors for the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA). Regarding her appointment, Dr. Williams said, “I am honored to have been invited to serve on the CHEA board and look forward to applying my many years of distance education and accreditation experience to lifting the value of CHEA and accreditation to enhance quality assurance systems on behalf of students. Supporting the essential role accreditors play, as well as the triad and the increasingly important relationship between accreditors and SARA, will be a priority.”
About CHEA: “As a national advocate and institutional voice for academic quality through accreditation, CHEA is a U.S. association of degree-granting colleges and universities and recognizes institutional and programmatic accrediting organizations. CHEA is the only national organization focused exclusively on higher education accreditation and quality assurance.”
