Regarding her appointment, Dr. Williams said, "I am honored to have been invited to serve on the CHEA board and look forward to applying my many years of distance education and accreditation experience to lifting the value of CHEA and accreditation to enhance quality assurance systems on behalf of students. Supporting the essential role accreditors play, as well as the triad and the increasingly important relationship between accreditors and SARA, will be a priority."
