Elise Scanlon is the founder of the Elise Scanlon Law Group, a law and consulting practice focused on higher education policy, accreditation and regulation. Prior to starting her practice in 2011, Elise served as the CEO of the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges (then ACCSCT) from 1999-2008, and as Counsel in the Education Law Group at Drinker Biddle & Reath (now FaegreDrinker). She has been a lead non-federal negotiator and writes and speaks frequently on topics such as accountability, transparency and student outcomes and achievement. Elise currently serves on the S-SARA Regional Steering Committee and the Education Quality Outcomes Standards (EQOS) Board. She has a BA from Dickinson College and a JD from Georgetown University. She is admitted to practice in D.C., Maryland and Virginia.
