Stacey Hogan, Ph.D.

Director, Communications & Project Management

Dr. Stacey Hogan joined NC-SARA in 2022. As the Director, Communications & Project Management, she provides leadership in planning and executing projects and optimizing NC-SARA’s communications and operational effectiveness. She has over 25 years of experience in education.

Prior to joining NC-SARA, Stacey served in several positions at Front Range Community College in Colorado. As Associate Vice President for Strategic Planning and Institutional Effectiveness she led teams and projects focused on strategic planning, institutional accreditation, student learning assessment, resource development/grants, and institutional research. Prior to that she served as Dean of Student Services and Director of Advising, Career Services, and Counseling. Stacey has also worked at several other community colleges in Colorado and at Colorado State University. She has successfully authored and co-authored a number of multimillion-dollar grant applications and directed three large federal grant projects. Stacey has served as facilitator for convenings of community college staff and faculty related to a variety of special initiatives and has been involved in the creation and administration of an institutional leadership development program.

Stacey holds a Ph.D. in Education Leadership from Colorado State University, a master’s degree in Higher Education Administration/Student Development from University of Denver, and a bachelor’s degree in Art History from Vassar College. She also recently earned CAPM® and DASM® certifications from the Project Management Institute. Her areas of expertise include higher education administration, project management, group facilitation, strategic planning, leadership development, mentoring, accreditation, grant writing/management, program development, student affairs, and community colleges. She is driven by a commitment to engaging and supporting students, particularly those who are underserved, and ensuring excellence in education. In her free time Stacey enjoys reading, playing and watching tennis, traveling, hanging out with her family, and spending time in the beautiful Colorado outdoors.
